Here is the image I have entered into the Cornell / Wild Birds Unlimited Photo Contest. While not a “feeder bird” I first noticed this Kinglet while looking out into our backyard from our kitchen window. This bird was hopping through the Hemlock, not far from our feeder station. However, unlike the Chickadees and Titmice that go back and forth from this tree to the feeders, this little bird continued to explore this tree. Knowing this species has a preference for conifers, I was quick to grab my binoculars to see what it was. Within minutes, I was at it with my camera.
