I was shooting a variety of sparrows at a small puddle for over an hour and out of nowhere a Fox Sparrow made a brief appearance. I got a little excited as this is one of my favorite sparrows and I was hoping the bird would preen and bath for a bit. Instead, the bird took a quick sip of water and flew away never to be seen again. I was focusing on reflection images and this is the best I could get In a 10 second opportunity. I’m still happy to get this image.

The Fox Sparrow is one of my favorites, too. Usually seen on the ground beneath dense undergrowth it’s a treat to see one out in the open. Great shot!
