We were standing on a bridge over the east branch of the Rocky River when this bird flew upstream right over us. I posted this as a photo that illustrates the difference between a Cooper’s Hawk and. Sharp-shinned Hawk. Note the rounded tip of the tail. Also note the pale nape of the neck that makes it seem as if the Hawk has a dark cap.
