This is a common bird in Costa Rica (and many other Latin American countries). It is usually quite cooperative as it spends a lot of time foraging in backyard gardens and hence, is used to people. However, it is a difficult bird for me to get a good exposure on. The top of the head is reflective and because the bird spends a lot of time in shaded, dark areas, to expose the body well without blowing out the top of the head is problematic.
