Do you think this might have been an Oregon Junco? I’ve been trying to find one but I’m not entirely sure what they look like.
Good question. The females are definitely harder to ID than the males. I usually look for a dark gray hood that has a very distinctive separation edge from the rest of the coloring. Though this female has a lot of brown on it for a Slate-colored I don’t see a very distinctive hood, so in this case I would say no.
Great composition with the curve on the branches. So fluffy!
