Spotted a new yard bird this week – a subspecies of Dark-eyed Junco (Oregon). I had a pair of these foraging around my feeders that would have been easy to miss in the large flock of Juncos had I not been watching closely. Lesson learned – never take a Junco for granted.

I guess I’m going to have to take a closer look at the Juncos around here – perhaps there is an Oregon mixed in and I didn’t even know it. Thanks for the heads-up.
