A Short – eared Owl flies directly at me during my first sightings of them this season. Always a challenge, this species is most active at dusk when lighting conditions are not really the best so in fact I am quite pleased to share it with you all !! I have since made a few trips to scout out the colony and have managed to see with my own eyes a group of them numbering as high as in the mid twenties!! Incredible to see!!! This particular shot was taken during a smaller groups hunting session at dusk.
