One of the great things about GreatBirdPics is that when our members travel they bring back pictures of birds I’ve never heard of before. It’s a learning experience every time I go to the Latest Pics section of our site. Check out these shots of birds that are new to me:
Paul Demkovich continues to share many of the GreatBirdPics he took during his recent Argentina trip. He had several shots of the Black-necked Swan, including this one of them mating.
Let’s jump around the world to New Zealand where Rebecca Bowater continues to share some of her beautiful bird shots. She has posted several shots of Red-billed Gulls recently but I like this one with the chick safely tucked under the wing.
Back to Argentina where asteinmann has shared many pics from his trip there. He caught this BIF of an Imperial Cormorant in the waters below the very tip of Argentina.
The final bird in today’s ‘education of Mike’ is a Snowy Sheathbill from asteinmann taken on an island just south of Argentina. My first impression of it was that the bird was a chick but he says it is an adult. Fascinating all-white bird!
