More Tanagers!

We focused on pictures of Tanagers from Costa Rica last week and I believe Rebecca Bowater was inspired to share some more of her shots.  Who am I to say “No”!  They are so colorful I can’t get enough of them.  Thanks Rebecca!

A head-on shot of a Crimson-collared Tanager.

 

This look at a Palm Tanager shows a lot of the subtle color details in the bird.

 

Here’s a new one – a Red-throated Ant-Tanager.  Note the red crest on its head.

 

Here’s a look at a male (left) and female Scarlet-rumped Tanager on the same perch.  Could the be any more different?  Good catch!

 

A last visit with a Blue-gray Tanager.  The colors are just glowing!
