Let’s reflect on some of our members’ GreatBirdPics:

Asteinmann captured this Green Heron.  He identified it as an immature bird because it had pale yellow legs (the mature birds have bright yellow legs) – I learn something new every day!

We don’t get too many pics with both the male an female in the same frame but Kaur managed to get a pair of Bobwhites out in  a meadow in Kentucky.

LinLark had to leave her backyard (where she sees so many great birds) to find a male Bobolink in a meadow.  This is an excellent picture with lots of detail – the contrasting pale yellow on the head and black body make these birds hard to get the right exposure for.  Excellent job, Linlark!

Speaking of backyards, how would like to find a Sacred Kingfisher in yours?  Rebecca Bowater did – in New Zealand.  GreatBirdPic, Rebecca!
