Members’ Bird Photography Showcase – 11/7/24

I was looking for pics to feature today and all the recent pics were from Paul Demkovich.  Another Paul Day!

Here’s a Zapata Wren taken in Cuba.  No I don’t think it was named for Frank Zappa.

 

This Yellow-faced Grassquit is a striking bird.  Also taken in Cuba.

 

What is the most distinguishing feature of the thrush below.  Eye?  Legs?  It is a Red-legged Thrush.

 

We can’t tell from this picture if the legs are bare or not.  We’ll just have to take Paul’s word for it that it’s a Bare-legged Owl.
