Is B&W For The Birds?
As I was reviewing the photographs shared in the Latest Pics section I came across this image of an Osprey by ChrisBirds5k on its nest.
It’s not often (ever?) that we see bird photographs rendered in Black and White. It works quite well for an Osprey, which is basically a black and white bird. The B&W in this case brings the eyes of the viewer to the bird and not the messy nest (although I did miss the head of a chick popping up just above the edge of the nest).
Have you seen many bird photographs presented in B&W, and if so, did you like them? What do you think of this one? Would you create a B&W rendition of any of your shots? Reply to the email or enter it in the Comments section of the post.
