In honor of St. Patrick’s Day I offer you some GreatBirdPics taken in Ireland. Unfortunately they’re not green but these are authentically Irish.
First, from our world traveller asteinmann a robin – a European Robin to be exact. Seen in Kildare County.
Also from asteinmann an Eurasian Jackdaw see in a public park in downtown Dublin. Near a pub, I believe.
I was there in 2022 with my wife Karen and her sister Kris and we were at the Cliffs of Kerry and spotted this Meadow Pipit perched on some old barbed wire.
Finally a Rook. I’ll let you guess where we saw this imposing-looking member of the Corvid (Crow) family. It was as big as the picture shows it!
Until next year Eat Your Corned Beef and Cabbage!
