Our Bird Photograph of the Week of a California Towhee was shared by Bajadreamer. In order to get this beautiful shot note he lowered the shutter speed to only 1/640th of a second and then increased the aperture to 8.0. The higher aperture gave a wider depth-of-field, which is why everything around the bird is so sharp and crisp. He loves the background, which is a creamy green. I love the red flowers framing the bird on three sides. Well done!
