While on the birding trip to Alberta, Canada we rose early (5 AM) and often didn’t finish dinner until after 8 PM. I did’t have much time to check the Latest Pics section, but now that I’m home (and caught up on laundry) I’m very pleased to see all the GreatBirdPics that have come in over the past couple of weeks. Here are some that caught my eye:
Burning Nature Photography always has an interesting way to frame an image. Take a look at his Field Sparrow set in a wide frame to capture the various plants in the background.
Birder1959 went on a tour of the King Ranch in Texas. This ranch has four divisions, when combined have a bigger area than the state of Rhode Island. He saw lots of great birds there and shared many pictures of them. This one of wild turkeys parading around caught my eye.
Emil Baumbach was watching a Black-crowned Night-heron when another one flew overhead. He snapped this image as his target bird gave a warning to the flyover bird to stay away.
