Some interesting shots have come in lately. Take a look:
Birder2011 was up at dawn at Monument Valley, Utah and snapped this sunrise pic of a Rock Wren eating its breakfast.
JamesD was taking a walk in the woods when he spotted a female Northern Flicker. I like how he captured it with the sun just on its back.
I must admit I’m partial to Northern Shovelers so when Mike Affinito posted this one I had to share it with you.
I wasn’t sure if this next picture by Rigloca was an April Fool’s joke or a typo. The picture is of a Mousebird and he claims it was taken in North Carolina, although it is only seen in Africa. Care to explain, Rigloca?
Finally, this next one titled, “Bird in the rain – Bald Eagle” is an April Fool’s joke. I woke up Tuesday morning (April Fool’s Day) and it made me laugh. Thanks for starting my day with a smile, Rigloca!
I also want to acknowledge Paul Demkovich’s recent submissions of birds he saw in Hawaii. I’ll be featuring them in the near future.
