GBP Members’ Bird Photography Showcase

Some GreatBirdPics have been added to our Latest Pics page.  Here are a couple that caught my eye:

Asteinmann found a male and female Lesser Goldfinch at a bird bath down in Texas recently.  We don’t often get pics with both genders in the same shot – well done asteinmann!

John Weisgerber went over to the local fluddle to find the Ruff that was reported there, but came up empty.  Empty until he spotted a Wilson’s Phalarope there.  Much prettier than the Ruff (I saw it there and was not impressed).

Karen and I were out Monday and saw a male Restart.  I didn’t even try to get a picture of it, as it was too high in the tree.  Anne Houle must have been much closer to get this great shot.

I really like how Rebecca Bowater pieces together three different shot into one image.  Here’s her latest of a Sacred Kingfisher munching on a Praying Mantis in her backyard in New Zealand.
