Birds In The Rain Contest – Honorable Mentions

Yesterday GreatBirdPics was pleased to announce that Birder2011 won the “Birds In The Rain” contest – and $100!  Click Here to see the winning pic.

Today we are proud to present five Honorable Mention photographs.  Each and every one of these pics is Award Worthy in their own right.  In no particular order:

Bajadreamer’s shot of a Keel-billed Toucan caught our eye for its sharpness in a downpour.

Rebecca Bowater sat in a hide for 2 hours in the rain observing King Vultures and other birds.

Mike Affinito captured this Rose-breasted Grosbeak staring at his camera during a downpour.

Ronald Zigler took the wide view of this Rose-breasted Grosbeak in the rain.

Finally, Paul Demkovich captured these Gray Silky-Flycatchers as they sat in the rain in Mexico.

Congratulations to these, and all the photographers who entered the “Birds In The Rain” contest.  Another contest coming soon!
