Once in a while we get some GreatBirdPics that are a bit out of the ordinary. We had several come in recently and I thought you might enjoy them.

Here’s a closeup of a bird you don’t see every day. Rigloca went to a preserve in North Carolina where he took this shot of a Greater Rhea (they normally live in South America). Now that’s close!
Finally, here’s a Northern Cardinal doing the backstroke in a puddle! Good get, Paul Demkovich!
