Here are some more of the pics I used for our 2025 family calendar with the rest coming next Monday. If these look familiar that’s because I posted them on GreatBirdPics previously.
I used Shutterfly this year but went back and forth between that and Mixbook to get the best price (new promo codes are sent daily). JamesD reminded me of the service he uses at Printing Center USA if you are interested in looking at another alternative.
It took this shot of a Snowy Egret down in The Villages, Florida last January. I really like the lighting (toward sunset) and the ruffled feathers.
The Inca Tern was one of our favorite birds we saw during our Birds and Wines of Chile & Argentina trip. This one was seen sitting on the wall of our hotel in Playa las Salinas, Chile.
We loved all the hummingbirds we saw in Costa Rica, but this Black-crowned Coquette was one of my favorites because of the wispy feathers flowing behind its crown.
I thought I had a winner when I looked at this shot of a Collared Aracari tossing a berry into the air and catching it. Our Birding Buddies group traveled to Costa Rica and we had a contest for the best picture upon our return. Alas, MuskieMike’s shot of a Gray-headed Rail won out.
